In some cases he strikes a red line through their details, possibly indicating that they were killed. Also, a record of the movements of the Battalion from September27, 1936 when the unit left Italy to January 15, 1938 when the unit was mustered out. Separately for officers and NCO’s/troopers he lists numbers of effective men, those assigned elsewhere, absentees, infirmed, imprisoned, as well as the number of horses available, for each month. He also shows the status of each horse…..by its name. B

Price: $5000.00

Note: the 104th Battalion was part of the 104th CCNN Legion “Santorre di Santarosa”, which was part of the 4th CCNN Division “3 Gennaio”. It participated in the battle of Amba Aradam, fought on February 10-15, 1936. Overall, the Italians suffered 800 losses. As the log book indicates that the unit sailed from Italy on October 22, 1936, these men were replacements to bring the battalion back to full strength.
