Leaflet 1: “The army of Chiang (Kai Shek) is surrounded on four sides. You can only live through surrender. The China’s People’s Liberation Army treats prisoners humanely.” On the rear: “Captured Chiang gunnery soldier is reunited with happy wife.” Leaflet 2: “Original Chiang 96th army military commander writes a letter to troops in Taiwan urging their return.” Leaflet 3: “Your family wants you to return home early. One of Chiang’s generals’ daughters is happy in Shanghai working in a chemical factory.” Rear: “We urge the officers of the Chiang army, your fate is ending, revolt and bring your company over to the mainland.” B
